Fun and seasonal events throughout the year
Southwest Wildlife hosts seasonal and special events throughout the year that offer different ways to experience the sanctuary and connect with Arizona’s wildlife. These include educational programs, holiday celebrations, and one-of-a-kind special events. From Family Day and Enrichment Parties to seasonal gatherings and guest speakers, there’s something for every age and interest.
Event space is limited, so early registration is recommended. If an event sells out, join the waitlist, and we’ll let you know if spots open up.
Please note that Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center is not open to the public without a scheduled tour or event reservation.

Virtual Speaker Series with Arizona Game & Fish

Join us for a virtual presentation about foxes in Arizona, presented by Arizona Game and Fish biologists Cheyenne Towne and Jeff Meyers.
Family Day
March 21st, 2026 | 9-11 AM
Looking for a unique outing for you and your family? On select Saturdays throughout the year, explore Southwest Wildlife at your own pace!
This family-oriented morning open house is geared toward families, though it’s fun for all ages. If you have little ones, this is a great alternative to our standard Walk with Wildlife guided tour.
Lunch with Lions
March 29th, 2026 | 11:00 AM-2:00 PM
Take a one-hour tour of the Sanctuary and create enrichment items while looking at the lion enclosures. Then place the enrichment in the habitat, eat lunch while watching the lions, and learn about them from our volunteers.
Sip & Paint with Wildlife
April, 3rd, 2026 | 4-7 PM
Join us for a magical evening at the Sanctuary! Sip wine, enjoy light bites, and paint your very own masterpiece inspired by Arizona’s wildlife.
Important Visitor Information
Reservations Required
Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center is not open to the public without an appointment or an event reservation. All tours, visits, and donation drop-offs must be scheduled in advance.
Rideshare Not Available
Please do not rely on ride-share services for transportation to our events and tours. Uber, Lyft, and taxi services do not guarantee drop-off or pick-up at our location.
Private Tours
For groups of 10 or more, a private tour is required. This is a great option for large groups or those who prefer a more personal experience.

Cancellation Policy
Guests may receive a full refund if they cancel at least 24 hours before their scheduled tour date and time. Weather related cancellations will be at SWCC’s descretion.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will be considered a donation to support our mission.
Tour or Event Sold Out? You can join the waitlist if a tour time is fully booked or can’t accommodate your group size. If spots become available, you’ll be notified by email. Waitlist requests are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Note: Drive on 156th Street (dirt road) for approximately 1 mile. Then, turn into the driveway immediately before Redbird. Look for the SWCC signs along the way!
