Apparently, skunks have a knack for finding themselves in some pretty unusual predicaments. If you remember our skunk who found himself stuck in a dumpster, you may recognize a familiar pattern- but this time, the location was a little more unexpected: a wall!
Watch the video below as our Rescue Team works to safely free a skunk whose head became trapped in a wall. It’s a great reminder that wildlife can find itself in some surprisingly tricky situations, and that knowing how to respond can make all the difference.

Rescues like this skunk’s are made possible by dedicated volunteers who are ready to help when wildlife finds itself in trouble. Our Rescue, Transport, and Rescue Line volunteers are on the front lines: capturing animals, transporting them to Southwest Wildlife for care, answering emergency calls, and coordinating rescues.
Training and support are provided, and flexible opportunities are available based on your schedule and the needs of wildlife.
